Inspectors noticed safeguards had been circumvented on equipment
Brink Forest Products has been fined $37,640.
WorkSafeBC inspected this firm's lumber manufacturing facility in Prince George, B.C. and observed safeguards that had been circumvented on two pieces of equipment.
On a third machine, the safeguard was not adequately constructed to protect workers.
The firm failed to ensure its machinery was fitted with adequate safeguards to ensure workers could not access hazardous points of operation.
This was a repeated violation.
