Canadian Occupational Safety magazine acquired by Carswell

Canadian Occupational Safety (COS) magazine has been purchased by Carswell, which publishes health and safety compliance information, as well as Canadian HR Reporter.
Carswell, a Thomson Reuters business, provides information and research solutions to the legal, finance and human resources markets. It acquired the health and safety magazine from Annex Publishing and Printing.

For half a century, COS has been a source of information for Canadian health and safety professionals. It offers readers a mix of articles on topics ranging from office to heavy industry, and from general safety management to specific workplace hazards.?

COS has been at the forefront of leading edge initiatives within the health and safety industry. In 2010, it launched Canada’s Safest Employers Award, a program that recognizes companies doing an exemplary job in promoting the health and safety of their workers.

The magazine, published six times annually with a dynamic daily online presence, joins a lineup of occupational health and safety products from Carswell related to legislative, regulatory and best practice topics. Popular titles include Canadian HR Reporter, OH&S Pocket Guide, HATSCAN, Canadian Employment Law Today and Consult Carswell.

COS will join Carswell’s Media Group, which includes titles such as Canadian HR Reporter, Canadian Lawyer, Law Times and Lexpert.
