Need help lifting? Try AI robotic exoskeleton

German Bionic, the makers of an AI-powered robotic exoskeleton unveiled a new product called the Apogee. The Apogee is lighter and more maneuverable exoskeleton to be used in workplace settings where heavy lifting is necessary. For example, not only can it be used in warehouses and logistics, but also by caregivers working with elderly or people living disabilities.

In an era of worker shortages and aging workforces, German Bionic says it is helping make manual handling jobs safer, less strenuous, and less tiring, helping employers retain staff and appeal to more workers.

German Bionic says the dust and water-resistant device maximizes workplace safety by providing up to 66 lbs (30 kg) of support for the lower back per lifting movement and helps minimize fatigue thanks to active walking assistance. Apogee integrates easily in workplaces and has an immediate impact wherever heavy lifting and carrying regularly takes place, such as in logistics, construction, and the healthcare sector.

The company unveiled the new product at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, along with two other products focused on enhancing ergonomic safety.
