A new line of hand-wound stainless steel grounding reels from Newson Gale Inc. provides a convenient means of assuring necessary grounding in sensitive static-hazard processing applications. The reels are designed for use in processes that involve not only dangerous explosive or flammable atmospheres but also require exceptional corrosion resistance or the need to avoid contamination of the process stream, the company said. If needed, the reels can be located up to 100 feet from their terminal clamp. The reels’ cables are composed of 3 mm multi-strand stainless steel and are available with a translucent flexible nylon cable for even more resistance to corrosion when needed.
