Company says it provides enhanced chemical protection with safety harness
DuPont has introduced the Tyvek® 500 HP Model TY178 coverall, designed to protect both workers and their safety harnesses from chemical and particulate hazards. This innovative coverall is specifically designed to be worn over full-body harnesses, allowing for easy access to D-Rings and ensuring full protection without compromising safety equipment. It offers a unique solution for workers exposed to particle and light liquid aerosol hazards in industries such as painting, cleaning, and maintenance.
The patent-pending coverall is made of lightweight, breathable Tyvek® fabric, enhancing wearer comfort. It also aims to extend the life of safety harnesses by protecting them from external contaminants. DuPont's new coverall addresses a common issue in fall protection, where protective garments often impede harness use or cause discomfort. Tyvek® 500 HP may help reduce fall-related injuries, which are frequently linked to chemical exposure.
The garment is compatible with various harness models, and its recyclable nature, if uncontaminated, supports environmental sustainability.
