Tested to 10,000 volts and rated for live use to 1,000 VAC, the pry bars aim to help crews work safely near energized equipment
Cementex, a U.S.-based manufacturer of double-insulated hand tools, is highlighting double-insulated pry bars built for professionals working in energized electrical environments, the company announced in a press release. According to Cementex, the pry bars are tested to 10,000 volts and rated for live use up to 1,000 volts AC and 1,500 volts DC, and are available in 12-inch and 36-inch lengths. The company said the tools are designed to help meet requirements under Occupational Safety and Health Administration work practices, the National Fire Protection Association's NFPA 70E standard, and CSA Group's Z462 standard for electrical PPE selection.
