New double-insulated tool helps electrical professionals reset equipment safely in energized environments
Cementex has introduced a 15-inch double-insulated Reset Tool for resetting breakers, relays and other components in energized electrical environments, the company said in a press release. The tool features an orange-over-yellow insulation design for visual wear detection, a cushion-grip handle and a slim profile suited to tight spaces. According to Cementex, it is tested to 10,000 volts and rated for live use up to 1,000 VAC/1,500 VDC, supporting compliance with OSHA safety-related work practices, NFPA 70E and CSA-Z462. The Burlington, N.J.-based manufacturer backs the tool with a lifetime guarantee on mechanical parts and a two-year insulation guarantee.
