Table registrations open for Canada’s Safesty Employers Awards

Gala event takes place October 19 at Liberty Grand in Toronto

Table registrations open for Canada’s Safesty Employers Awards

Canada’s Safest Employers Awards (CSEAs) have long been the industry event of the year. In 2023, the CSEAs proudly returns an in-person event complete with the pre-awards cocktail reception, red carpet, dinner banquet and awards ceremony.

Table registrations are now open and you can register here for all the glitz and glamour at the Liberty Grand in Toronto on Thursday October 19.

Earlier this summer, the excellence awardees were revealed, which is a list of the finalists in each award category. It recognizes dozens of organizations and individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their safety programs and a commitment to ensuring the health and safety of their employees, the people they serve, and the environments in which they operate.

“It's about heart and it's about making a difference,” explains Steve Chaplin, vice president health, safety, and environment at EllisDon.

He says awards are not the goal and are rather a by-product of a much bigger mission. For EllisDon, the objective is to grow and deepen its safety culture so that it becomes embedded in every single worker from the frontline to the C-suite.

“We're deepening the think of everybody goes home safe each night to their families. It's about making sure that we're knocking down complacency.”

In addition to the gala event and awards ceremony, there will also be a CEO Round Table Discussion at nearby Hotel X. The discussion is sponsored by Workplace Safety Prevention Services.

Jody Young, president and CEO of WSPS, says it offers CEOs an incredible opportunity to learn from each other. "They are the leaders in health and safety; they can serve as mentors for other organizations," says Young. "They have identified a business case for health and safety in the success of their organizations, which is why they are being acknowledged as leaders in our health and safety realm."

Don’t delay and register for this premier event in occupational health and safety today.
