Radians enters particulate respirator market

Radians has added particulate respirators to its product mix.

“Our new N95 particulate respirators represent another avenue to protect workers with a mainstream safety product that helps improve lung health,” said Radians president, Bill England. “The inclusion of them in our product mix means customers can now conveniently order respirators when ordering other Radians products.”

NIOSH-approved, the RADN95V (with valve) and RADN95 Particulate Respirators help improve lung health by reducing the risk of inhaling hazardous airborne particles by filtering out at least 95 per cent of particulate matter. These disposable respirators are ideal for job sites where sanding, grinding, blasting or landscaping occur or in warehouses where dust and allergens cause respiratory irritation.

According to the United States Food and Drug Administration, “An N95 respirator is a respiratory protective device designed to achieve a very close facial fit and very efficient filtration of airborne particles… The N95 designation means that when subjected to careful testing, the respirator blocks at least 95 per cent of very small (0.3 micron) test particles. If properly fitted, the filtration capabilities of N95 respirators exceed those of face masks.”

The RADN95V is packaged with 10 respirators per box while the RADN95 has 20 respirators per box. Both styles feature a soft liner, a nose clip and two comfort straps for a secure fit. The RADN95V is engineered with the Arctic Valve that quickly dispels heat, improving comfort and wearability.
