Tractor was operated by another worker
A 61-year-old worker has died after being struck by a tractor trailer at a construction site in Ontario.
The incident happened Friday, Aug. 22 on Wolford Drive, just off Burritts Rapids Road, at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Friday, reported CTV News.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the victim was working on the site when he was struck by a tractor trailer operated by another worker.
No further details about the circumstances of the incident have been released, as the investigation is ongoing, according to the report.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development has also assigned an inspector to investigate the fatality. In a statement, the ministry said that no further information is available at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
