Worker sustains serious injury in Toronto industrial accident

A 38-year-old male construction worker was seriously injured in a workplace incident in Toronto, according to a report.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Dalhousie Street and Dundas Street East on Wednesday, reported CTV News.

The worker was struck by material being moved by a crane at the construction site shortly after noon.

He sustained a leg injury and was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Toronto paramedics said they transported an adult male to a local trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries, according to the CTV News report.

Police said that the Ontario Ministry of Labour has been notified. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
