New free lab service helps plant managers assess combustible-dust risk and support dust hazard analysis
Nederman, a global industrial air filtration and environmental technology company, has launched a free Combustible Test Analysis (CTA) service for dust generated in industrial processes. According to the company, laboratory engineers at the Nederman Innovation Center test submitted dust samples for density, particle size and combustibility, following EN ISO/IEC 80079-20-2:2016, using a Modified Hartmann tube. The service is intended to help plant managers and maintenance technicians assess combustible-dust risk and support dust hazard analyses. It applies across sectors including metalworking, woodworking, food processing, pharmaceuticals and composites. Customers request a free sampling kit, submit a dust sample, and receive a report with recommended next steps.
