The product is designed to vent deflagrations that occur as a result of combustible dust, Oseco said. Common applications at risk of dust explosions include baghouses, dust collectors, bulk storage units, conveyance systems and ductwork. As the NFPA and OSHA continue to enforce the regulations set forth in NFPA 68, it is imperative that processes involving explosive dust are properly vented in case of an explosion. Oseco’s explosion vent stocking program focuses on common sizes and applications to help customers’ plants quickly and easily comply with NFPA and OSHA regulations. The program features a lead time of only three days on orders of Oseco’s most widely used explosion vents, the company said.
