Fire alarm goes broadband
The new NetSOLO Broadband network fire alarm system from Fire Control Instruments by Honeywell is ideally suited for retrofit and large-scale applications, according to Honeywell. The system features multiple audio evacuation functions and a highly survivable distributed communications network. Honeywell claims NetSOLO is the only life safety solution that networks over a single pair of wires or fibre optic cables. At the center of the NetSOLO Broadband system is the 7100 Series fire alarm control panel. The 7100 Series is available in either one or two CDL versions, supports up to 394 devices per panel and features programmable notification appliance circuits for Canadian two-stage operations, the company says. A Central Alarm Control Facility serves as the main system control point, while FCI’s Intelligent Network Transponder facilitates distributed audio amplification and messaging over the NetSOLO Broadband network. www.fcinetsolo.ca
