Designed to AMCA 270 standards
Q-PAC is constructing an advanced airflow tunnel designed to AMCA 270 standards to test multimotor plenum fans and similar HVAC systems. The 16-fan tunnel will enable in-house, full-scale performance testing of complete fan configurations up to 70,000 CFM, including failure scenarios such as single-motor outages. Q-PAC says the facility will provide certified, system-level validation data and is being built with future AHRI 430 compliance in mind. The 30-foot tunnel, with a 144-square-foot cross section and 16 differential pressure nozzles, supports both push and pull-through testing under positive and negative pressure for a wide range of operating conditions.
