Company introduces the PISTA® Synchronous Belt Drive
Smith & Loveless Inc. has introduced the PISTA® Synchronous Belt Drive, a new drive option for its line of PISTA® Grit Chamber systems used in wastewater treatment facilities.
The new drive replaces traditional oil-based gear systems with a grease-lubricated, toothed belt constructed from HNBR rubber and a high-tensile carbon fibre core. The design eliminates the need for oil inspection, refilling, replacement, and disposal, reducing routine maintenance demands for operators.
The PISTA® Synchronous Belt Drive is compatible with both new installations and existing PISTA® systems, sharing the same anchor bolt pattern as previous drive models. It also features an automatic greaser for the slewing ring and multiple inspection ports for routine monitoring access.
