The 3M DBI-SALA Smart Lock Leading Edge Self-Retracting Lifeline is what the company calls its “smartest SRL yet.”

The SRL is made with a rugged and lightweight thermoplastic housing with a built-in ergonomic handle. It has 30 feet of 5.5-millimetre galvanized steel cable lifeline.
Using advanced motion capture, the horizontal use is designed to help reduce nuisance lockups when compared to 3M’s previous generation SRLs.
The highly-visible orange Leading Edge external energy absorber indicates the product is designed for sharp edge applications.
The patent pending magnetic retraction control system allows the lifeline to retract smoothly — hands free — and the device includes a swivelling anchorage point and carabiner.
The patent pending dual label system located within ergonomic cable handle simplifies inspections and reduces the need for replacement.
Plus, the device includes a Connected Safety RFID located in cable handle.
