FR yarn-died fabric
Mount Vernon FR has introduced two new FR fabric collections: MY•FR custom yarn-dyed stripes and plaids, as well as Nanuq CWI (Cold Weather Insulation) quilted fabrics. The yard-dyed plaid fabric is cotton-rich while being flame resistant for ultimate comfort and safety. The custom-designed FR clothing is made using the brand’s 7.25-ounce AMTEX PLUS which consists of 88 per cent cotton and 12 per cent nylon. The fabric is ASTM F1506 compliant, NFPA 70E category 2 and NFPA 2112 component recognized. Yarn-dyed fabrics are superior in quality to printed fabrics allowing for more durability and pattern integrity through rigours of industrial laundering. The fabric meets the growing need for even more choice when it comes to flame resistant garments for cold weather applications.
