T-shirt-like FR/AR fabric offers end users a comfortable, want-to-wear experience
With a soft fiber blend, and moisture-wicking and breathability properties, the Westex DH base layer fabric brings FR/AR protection to workwear undershirts. The first Westex T-shirt-like FR/AR fabric offers end users a comfortable, want-to-wear experience, the company says.
The 4.5-ounce fabric has a 4.7 ATPV rating, is NFPA 2112 certified and provides NFPA 70E category 1 protection, making it a functional and durable option for arc flash and flash fire protection.
Combined with FR/AR workwear apparel, FR/AR base layers made with Westex DH can help achieve a specific arc rating and provide an additional level of thermal hazard protection.
“Westex® DH Base Layer fabric demonstrates how we are combining customer feedback with our unique research and development capabilities to create innovative FR/AR textiles that make workers want to wear daily wear FR/AR PPE,” said Tom Moore, national sales director for Westex by Milliken. “With the newest Westex DH fabric style, customers now can find every weight they need within the line.”
