The 3M WiBGet environment heat stress monitor uses a Globe temperature sensor that requires three minutes of stabilization time compared to the Vernon globe's 20 minutes. It calculates time weighted mean WBGT, metabolic rates and work rest rations, has a mean time between failure (MTBF) rate of approximately 170,000 hours and allows for up to 511 records of data to be stored and output later through a serial port.
