Light meets tough
Defibtech’s Lifeline AED has an eye-catching yellow design that’s intended to make the equipment easier to locate when it’s needed, the company says. Lifeline AED incorporates state-of-the-art digital signal processing techniques and advanced ECG analysis algorithm, enabling the device to exceed the American Heart Association performance recommendations, Defibtech says. Lifeline AED uses advanced biphasic technology — including the most-studied biphasic shock waveform — and automatically adjusts the shock delivery to the particular patient’s needs. Designed for speed and simplicity, Lifeline AED is able to meet the demanding standards of professional emergency personnel, yet it’s simple enough to be used by non-medical personnel, the company says. A Lifeline unit weighs only 4.2 pounds and meets U.S. military "drop and shock" specifications, according to Defibtech.
