Outrider has introduced the industry’s first comprehensive safety system for driverless yard operations, designed for autonomous movement of freight in mixed-traffic logistics yards. TÜV SÜD, a global certification body, reviewed and confirmed Outrider’s functional safety approach aligns with leading industry standards. The Outrider System, featuring 14 safety mechanisms and advanced AI, will begin deployment with select enterprise customers in late 2025. Outrider’s solution aims to set new safety benchmarks for autonomous yard trucks, supporting broader adoption of automation in logistics and supply chain operations.
