25-year-old left with life-threatening injuries after construction accident

Ontario’s Ministry of Labour is investigating an accident at a construction site that left a 25-year-old worker with life-threatening injuries earlier this week.

The incident happened on Monday. At about 10:35 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and paramedics were dispatched to an address in Lucan-Biddulph for the report of the accident, according to both CTV News and The London Free Press.

They took the worker to a hospital.

Middlesex OPP initially said Tuesday the 25-year-old died following the accident Monday morning, noted The London Free Press. However, they issued an update later in the day to say the injured person was still alive.

Police have not released information about the gender of the injured person or where the accident took place.
