Wrangler says its new Toughlite denim line cuts weight while boosting tear and abrasion resistance for workwear
Wrangler is introducing Toughlite, a lightweight update to its Cowboy Cut denim line, in 13MWZ Original Fit and 936 Slim Fit styles, the company says. Toughlite weighs 11.2 ounces compared with the original's 14.75 ounces, a reduction Wrangler says amounts to about 20 per cent. Advanced yarn technology increases tear and abrasion resistance without added weight, according to Wrangler. The 99 per cent cotton, 1 per cent elastane blend is designed for stretch with no break-in time, the company says. The line comes in four washes and is priced at $69.99 at Wrangler.com and select retailers including Cavender's and Boot Barn.
