17-year-old dies in Ontario farm incident

A teenager died following an incident at a farm in Lambton County in Ontario last week.

The incident happened on Thursday. Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) - Lambton Detachment were called to the scene at about 9:30 a.m.

An individual suffered life-threatening injuries in a farm incident at Churchill Line, The London Free Press reported, citing a document from OPP. Members of the OPP traffic management team, forensic identification unit, and Victim Services of Sarnia-Lambton responded to the scene.

The victim was a 17-year-old from the municipality of Watford.

Churchill is a rural road running east-west through Lambton County, between the Sarnia area and the community of Kerwood, according to the report.

“A 17-year-old individual from Watford was pronounced deceased at the scene,” police said, reported The London Free Press.

Police did not release details about what happened or the teenager's name, according to CBC.

Police said the teenager's death is not considered suspicious and the Ministry of Labour is investigating, noted CBC.
