Workers held suspect in a car until officers arrived
Three construction workers in Ontario prevented an armed man from fleeing before being taken into custody on Monday, according to a report.
The workers spotted the 45-year-old man getting into a car.
"They approached the owner, who advised them that he had no business being in her car," Barrie police release stated, according to a report from CTV News. "The workers kept the male in the car until police arrived."
The man was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of assault with a weapon, and failing to comply with a probation order.
He remained in the custody of the police.
The three workers were not injured in the incident, according to the police.
