Celebrate the cream of the OHS crop.

After a hugely successful inaugural virtual edition last year, Canada’s Safest Employers Awards are back and better than ever.

The Awards will return on October 21. Awards winners will be announced live (the full list of 2021 finalists is available here).

Over the last 18 months, the OHS profession has been transformed by the pandemic. Now, workplace health and safety is more mainstream than ever before – and safety pros are finally getting their due.

This year’s awards will celebrate those individuals and organizations striving to make a difference amid such trying times.

“I’ve been hearing from so many safety pros about how difficult this past year has been. But the silver lining is that the profession is getting so much recognition. Organizations have come to realize how important employee health and safety is. Some companies have been leading the pack for years on this, and we’re proud to shine a light on the cream of the crop,” says Maïa Foulis, editor, Canadian Occupational Safety.

The ceremony will be hosted by award-winning CBC news anchor, Suhana Meharchand.

As well as the awards ceremony, the day will also be filled with panels led by industry experts weighing in on hot button topics in the OHS sphere such as mental health, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability.

So grab your drink of choice, don your finest pyjama bottoms and join us for a day celebrating the cream of the crop of occupational health and safety.

We extend special thanks to our event sponsors Avetta, BGIS, Bruce Power, Chemistry Industry Association of Canada, MSA Safety, Primoris, WSIB, and WSPS for supporting this event and the recognition of safety excellence.
